The newer, and more common is the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. Mass Air Flow Sensor: Hot Wire Type The primary components of the MAF sensor are a thermistor, a platinum ...
Partschoice''s Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor is high quality replacement parts. MAF is a key part of the engine management system, mass air flow sensors measure the amount of air by weight through changing voltages or frequencies and sends this information to the onboard computer.
Dec 07, 2010· I found two codes, P0102 Mass Air Flow Circuit Low Input and P0113 IAT Circuit High Input. Over the weekend, I replaced the IAT sensor and that code has now gone away. Yesterday on a trip to Selkirk (some highway driving at 80 to 90 km/h, some city driving), the intake air temperature was 30 to 50 degrees C. Ambient was roughly 10 degrees C.
SOURCE: CODE PO102 after Mass Air Flow Sensor replaced. Most faultcodes don''t disappear automaticly, the have to be ''reset'' manually after repairing. It sounds like the code didn''t get erased after replacing the MAF. You could try to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes (disconnect and reconnect the negative () pole), which should erase the code.
May 23, 2007· ( plus core charge if you don''t return the old one). I will post back the results in a couple of days when I get time to work on it. I assume it is the sensor but I find it strange that the car runs just fine with the bad one even though it is setting off the check engine light and setting a P0102 code.

Dec 27, 2019· Hi torchtamer, removing the M119 MAF sensor is simple. 1. Disconnect the left and right plastic intake piping from the airbox. 2. Lift the entire airbox upward and set it aside. 3. Disconnect the wiring connector simply by twisting it counterclockwise. 4. Loosen the upper clamp with a screwdriver or small 8mm socket.
Remove the two screws that hold the MAF on the intake near the air filter, go to an auto parts store or electronic supply place and get a can of spray electronic cleaner, spray the inside of the air flow sensor, you need to get it into the small opening where the platinum sensor wires are, they get coated with dust and other gunk and confuse the computer because it gets the wrong …
Dec 09, 2013· The 2G Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAS) calibration screw is located on the bottom of the MAS. Theres a silicone blob protecting the screw from movement. Use a screwdriver to clear away this blob. With the blob removed. You can see the MAS screw there for adjustment. Turn the screw out (counter clockwise) to make the car run leaner.

Direct/Adjust toggle switch on the front of the unit allows you to quickly switch the input to the computer between the unmodified MassAir Flow Sensor signal and The Air Adjuster!! modified signal.
The mass air flow sensor (MAF) is located inside the intake system and is used to measure the amount and temperature of air that is entering the engine at any given time. The MAF senses the total amount of air passing the sensor and allows the fuel injection system to adjust the fuel mixture to compensate for cold weather and/or high altitude ...
Jan 15, 2019· Symptoms of a Bad Mass Air Flow Sensor. Like any other engine sensor, the mass air flow sensor can fail over time. Just like with a headlight light bulb, thousands of hours at operating temperature degrades the internal components. The mass air flow sensor can also get dirty if the engine air filter is not changed on time, which results in the ...

Aug 08, 2009· It was a cinch to get it out, but the Oring bound up getting it back in. You can''t get anything around the entire unit because of the mouldings in the intake tract, you can''t turn the sensor so as to work the Oring in because there is a slot inside the opening and a corresponding ridge on the proboscis so that it can only go in one way.

Aug 12, 2012· The MAF, mass air flow sensor is located on the air inlet. This sensor tells the computer the condition of the air flowing into the engine. There are two common types of mass airflow sensors, vane meter and the hot wire. To clean it you need to take it out of the assembly so you can spray the sensor. Saab mechanics clean these all the time.
Aug 01, 2010· Discussion Starter · 1 · Apr 30, 2010. Searched for a while and could not find the size for the MAF sensor screws. I found it here a few years ago but can''t locate the info now. Anyone know the length and width of these screws? I changed over to nonsecurity Torx a long time ago and have lost both bolts... A zip tie holds it in place for now.
Mar 24, 2010· Remove the rubber Oring so you don''t get any cleaning solution on it to dry it out. Make sure you lube it up with some light oil or (rubber safe grease) before reinstalling it in the MAF. This will ensure an air tight seal. Without an airtight seal, you may have a leak at the MAF and throw a CEL. Choose your cleaner. I use CRC Mass Air Flow ...
Sep 22, 2003· The best idea is to take the mass air flow housing of the beta motor the bigger inch diameter one but use your accent sensor. According to dan at kore it will bolt right to the tib housing. You should be able to get the torque screws out of the stock one to get the stock sensor out and bolt it back onto the tiburon one.
Jul 22, 2005· I think you need to get that stub out of there and put the other screw in. Get someone that is use to this sort of thing that has some easy outs get it out for you if necessary. If it leaks around the sensor unit, the MAF will be lying to the ECU about the amount of air flowing into the engine and throw the fuel trims off.
