· Add coolant to full line. If nothing is leaking reinstall headlight and grill. I did everything without jacking up the car. Headlight has 3 bolts. 2 on top, 1 inside the fender. I was able to reach inside from behind the headlight to access this bolt. I used a Duralast 51280 thermostat with no sensor. Ford only sells the thermostat with the sensor.

· I have a 2007 Focus hatchback with the Duratec motor. A while ago the check engine light went on and I pulled a P0128 code for temp sensor or thermostat. The temp gauge showed the temp at very low. I replaced both the sensor and the thermostat. The temp gauge went back to normal and I erased the code. The check engine light did not go back on.

· Coolant thermostat. Coolant temp below thermostat regulation temperature. Is what my scanner told me. I’ve noticed that in the past week or so the heat is definitely not hot anymore luke warm at best. I am assuming that I should replace the thermostat but when looking it up there are 2 different options. One with or without the sensor.
· Well after nearly a year of fighting the P0128 code on my 2004 focus, I have finally solved the problem. Rather than go over the multitude of things I have tried up to now, I''ll just say that it appears to be a flaw with some ford programming and/or the wrong temperature thermostat for cold climates (and they dont have a choice in thermostat temps).
